Star has been having soft stool for the past 10 days... I have tried many things to stop his soft stool... I tried to starve him for one day, for him to clear his guts and stomach... I gave him Drontal to get rid of the worms... But all these didn't help... Although he has soft stool, but he is still very active and eating well and sleeping well... Today, I decided to bring him to the vet... He was having a slight fever and doctor found some parasites and protozoas on his stool sample... He behaved really well throughout the vet visit... He didn't cry at all and lie down quietly as the vet examined him... What a tough and brave boy he is!! The vet prescribed 2 antibiotics, Co Trimex and Metrinidazole, and stool firmer Kaopecin... I am not sure what type of antibiotics are these... One is pink and the other is yellow... Also, she gave Star Benebac, which has to be given to him after he completed his antibiotics... Sigh!! Sooo many medicines... Poor Star!

He really hated to take the medicine... He squirmed and struggled when I tried to feed him the medicine.. I feel sooo bad and my heart feel sooo pain... Another 10 more days of antibiotics... Arrrghh...

Hope that he will recover asap after taking the antibiotics... (*crossing my fingers and toes*)...........
Oh poor Star and poor Wilson! It is heartbreaking isn't it? I'm sure he will be better in no time, lots of love and cuddles coming his way. Keep us updated pls.
Hope he is feeling better soon.
Wilson I know how NOT fun it is giving your furbaby meds! Poor Star I hope he feels better soon. That certainly is a lot of meds

Hugs from Lance and Merlin.
Hope Star is on the mend...just remember you are helping him by giving him the meds...he might not feel that way though.
Good Luck
Thks for your well wishes! I sure hope that it is not something serious... Last nite, there were blood on his stool and blood stains on his backside's fur...

I gave him a bath and clean him up... I am very worried and uneasy about this topic of "diarrhea" coz I have read quite alot of posts in the forum... Pls keep him in your thoughts.... Thks!
I'm sorry Star is not feeling well. I hope the antibiotics help and he gets better really soon.
Poor little guy

So sorry that little Star is having some loose stools. Wilson, you're such a good dad to your fur kids, and I'm hoping Star's stools will be firm again soon with his medicine treatment. But oh....I can imagine how tough that is to have to give him those meds when he does not understand why you're doing it. Still though, I believe cats can sense our love/concern even when struggling to get them to take their medicine and therefore somehow understand all is really okay. Maybe give him a little treat each time after he takes his medicine. And, I've heard when a kitten or cat has loose stools.....some parasites.... a little blood can be expected.
Thinking good thoughts for you and Star.
I am so sorry that Star has been poorly and hope the antibiotics and all the other really help him. I know how worrisome it is when they aren't feeling well. You're such a good dad to your kitties though that I know he's receiving the best care. Please give him some tummy rubs especially from me.
So sorry to hear about Star's troubles

. Giving meds is no fun, can you get pill pockets there? Made by Greenies. I love them, the cats just think they are getting a special treat.
I hope he feels better soon, you are so good to your babies. Hugs from us all.
