Oh thats so very sad Sad Sad You did the right thing, don't blame yourself. Its much better they go peacefully than to live the rest of their lives in pain and slowly dying... I know its hard and you feel responsible... just think if she was pregnant and had kittens then they would be very sick as well, and probably lose their mother at a very young age and die too. Outside life is very harsh and sadly there's not much you can do about it, you just have to believe that her suffering has ended much more peacefully than if you had left her to scavenge the rest of her days. Keep your chin up Smile You did the right thing by her.
It is sad but like they said you gave her the best you had to give for the time allowed. Know you did nothing wrong and so you can get up and know that you did all you could. Our vet told us that once when we had a sick cat who was dying and we asked him what he would do and he said if you have done all you can for her then when she goes you can let her go with the knowledge you did all you could for her.

May God bless you for the effort you put into the cat. May He comfort you with His peace.
That is sad, but in doing so you have prevented her from spreading FIV to other cats, plus saved her from a slow and painful death. What you did was much more merciful. I know how tough it is. A stray I had grown attached to (Snow was his name), when I took him in to be neutered, they found cancer in his mouth and I had to have him put to sleep. It's never easy, but we do what we can to bring comfort in the long run. Thank you for caring.

its really upsetting and hitting me pretty bad i already had a mental attachment to her i cant stop crying it was so hard to leave my bed im not sure what to do i saw her and her mate cuddle with each other every day from my window and rub each other show lots of affection now they are both dead i feel like i ruined it all they were both so sick but i dont care i feel like such a monster i tried to help them and do the right but i made things so much worse i kinda wish i could reverse what happend i cant get them out of my mind

Please don't feel this way. You did all that you possibly could to make this little girl's life better and that is just what you have succeeded in doing. By letting her leave this life you made her life so much better, she was suffering, probably in an amazing amount of pain, and you have eased that. You didn't ruin anything, she would have died a slow and painful death if you hadn't helped her. She wouldn't want you to reverse what you have done as that would mean she was hurting again. She came to you for help and you helped her and we all thank you for that.
Oh man, that is a tough one to get through.. sigh... You absolutely did the right thing though. I agree that the girl came to you at the right time. She needed help, and was suffering. Thank you so much for all you did.. I hope that you can find peace. Please don't blame yourself.
