When I hear about one so young passing the first things that come to mind are FIP or perhaps HCM.
If one parent is +/+ positive for the mutation then 25% will be +/+, 50% +/-, and 25% negative. Those that are +/- may never develop the disease at all. There just isnt enough data yet to determine % or age of onset.
There is also the possibility that HCM may develop from other causes as well.
Ohh, I am so very sorry to hear this about Meeko. So young and so sudden. This must be a terrible nightmare for you. If I could do anything for you to help, I would cross the ocean for you...
Oh, that is very sad! I hope each day you are getting stronger, as I'm sure it will take some time. Such a shock and so sudden, with your Ragdoll being so young, but hopefully you can take some comfort in knowing there probably was no suffering & what a wonderful life you gave your precious friend. I wish I could find adequate words to properly thank everyone for their kind wishes. Truly, you have all brought me more comfort than you can imagine. I miss Meeko so much but I do take comfort knowing that he didn't suffer, he knew he was loved and he really did have fun while he was here.
Oh Halebop, why am I just now seeing this? My heart is breaking. Meeko was such a beautiful little boy, and I can't even imagine what you are going through right now.

I can't believe what has been happening whilst I haven't been on the forum!! Such sad news, I'm in shock! Poor you, you must be so sad, I feel so sorry for you, what a terrible shock.
