Hi Karissa: If you have faith in your breeder, then you are wise to take her advice. When I adopted Abby, I was told she was a little shy, but loved to cuddle. When I first met her, she hissed at me!! Still, I ended up adopting her...and, after the first day (hiss, hiss), she and I became best friends. She would crawl onto my lap and purr. She still loves to be being cuddled and sit on my lap. Sometimes I sit in my chair with a laptop computer on my lap...in her spot
She jumps up on the arm of my chair, surveys the situation and slowly squeezes her way into whatever spot is available (on my chest, draped around my neck, or whatever else works). Fortunately, she's still tiny.
