Fawkes slept with me last night and oh man I was awake all night. He would head but me, jump on me, nip me, paw me, row in my ear etc. He was purring like a maniac all night and snuggled up to me constantly. He literally would run and jump on me to head but me lol. He is crazy!! and such a snuggle bug. lol I don't know how the kids have him in their room- he's so funny, never met a cat like him but I need my sleep lol. Never again!
Albus is so different to him- Albus sleeps on the end of my bed whereas Fawkes, last night, slept up against my face lol. Albus doesn't want snuggles- Fawkes wants to be suffocated lol. Has any of your kittens slept across your shoulder blades? Fawkes did it last night while I was watching tv- hilarious.
Thanks for listening to me talk about nothing lol.
LOL, that is funny Matt.. but I feel your pain! I have to keep the cats locked out of my room at night, I don't sleep well to begin with and can do without having my feet stalked and attacked all night. Bonks and Mocha like the foot of the bed, if they slept all night it would be great, lol.
Matthew- I am so there with you. Linus is completely different from Gussie and Blue. Gussie will sleep next to me, Blue on the end of the bed, if at all. I asked Linus's breeder for a smushy, cuddle kitten. The email I received back, said "he was so loving, it was almost too much." Then added, "but could there even be too much cuddling?". I am here to tell you YES, there can be. All night he wants to sleep on my face, and it has to be smothering my nose and mouth. He wants to suckle my eyes, my nose, my mouth or ears. If I put him to the side, he is persistent, and jumps up again. I know I could shut the door on him, but he is still sick with his cold infection(another story) and I don't have the heart. So I understand EXACTLY what you mean. To say I am cranky without sleep is an understatement. I believe there is a B word that describes it better. So you have my sympathy and complete understanding.....but hopefully this too shall pass. One day they will be huge, and won't fit on our shoulders, or faces, and we'll probablymiss it.
I know exactly what you mean! Simon does exactly the same thing. It gets so that I have to put the covers over my head (Iam too lazy to get up and put him out. But in the end if he doesn't stop I have to put him out and close the door.) He snuggles, nuzzles my neck etc. Sometimes all I can do is laugh. (depends how tired I am lol) Max on the other hand will sleep by my feet quietly. They are only kittens for a short time.....I am enjoying it while it lasts......Simon likes to steal my pens and hide them under rugs, in my shoes under clothes. Anywhere where he thinks I won't find them. He also goes in my purse head first, butt sticking out (big purse) trying to find something to abscond with. They are a joy!!
Catherine
I love hearing these stories. My girls lay up next to me, but not much else. The only time it bothers me is when I want to roll over but don't want to disturb them so it gets a little painful laying in the same position.
LOL! Fawkes is sleeping now so he can stay awake tonight!!
Lol Fawkes now annoying Albus' sleep!!

He just doesn't like anyone to sleep in peace, does he?? LOL!

Bubba is a snuggling boy, but he is too hyper to stay in one spot for any length of time. Back when he bit me in my sleep I would cover my hands and he'd burrow under the covers and bite my toes. Now he just sort of tastes them. I wake up with his nose against mine, staring at me. I love when he gets in bed, but when he gets ready to leave he always stomps in the middle of my stomach and that knocks the breath out of me. Then he goes to my husband and does the same thing. If I worked outside the home it would be a different story, but as it stands I just can't bring myself to put him out.
Menou is usually resting at my feet. When he wants me up, he jumps over my body.

If I don't respond he will pounce on me and that would wake the dead! When he was a small kitten he bounced off our heads, knocked over the alarm clock and everything on the nightstands.

They both continue to change their nighttime habits. They seem to calm down a lot as they mature.
