In TICA, one cannot register a hybrid as a hybrid. With two registered cats of two breeds as parents, then the breeder can choose to register the kittens as a variant in either breed. So, in your example, the kittens can be registered with the Ragdolls or with the MCs. It just depends on the purpose of the outcross.
Hi Tereasa,
Your site is fantastic. I love your cats, they are gorgeous, well done and thank you for opening and nice, friendly forum in the UK, it's great to have somewhere to share the "ragdoll addiction". Somehow I think I may be end up spending way too much time on my PC.

Ok, the variants - not knowing the TICA reg system, would these be on the full register? just going by the GCCF reg system ie the variant would be on a referance register or something else, not the full register. I recall you and Curt discussing something along these lines before in another thread.
TICA just controls what variants are showable in each breed. There is no separate register based on that. The "highest" registry category (SBT - Stud Book Traditional) only means that there are no unknowns or outcrosses in four generations. A cat must be SBT to be shown, but that is not enough to be shown for champioinship in TICA. The cat must also not have an unaccepted variant - and Ragdolls are defined in the breed standard as blue eyed and pointed only, making solids and minks unaccepted.
Ah, similar to GCCF, in January this year the British shorthair bi colourpointed was placed on the reference register which means they can now be shown in the GCCF affiliated shows but with restrictions. They are not on the 'full' register which would be the SBT registry catergory of TICA. Although I believe it is a recognised colour/pattern in TICA.
The difference between raggies and bsh being that bsh come in all colours/patterns generally but the new bi colourpointed has only recently been recognised (partially)as a colour within the breed in GCCF.
Welcome
I do think it's rather rude to come onto another forum and advertise your own though, because I know the ones who are taking care of this forum work hard and I'm sure it all comes out of their pocket to take care of it.
But Maybe that's just because I'm so use to another forum I'm on that deals with danes and they put A LOT of hard work & money into it, I can definitely see why they get so upset when other's advertise their own forums or websites.
