When introducing a new kitten it is always best to have 2 sets of everything. You definitely need separate feeding bowls and litter trays and would be better assuming that they need a slow introduction. You should always have a saf room for the kitten and ideally introductions should be taken slowly with them meeting through the door first, getting used to each others scents and noises before face-to-face introductions. Bedding can be swapped between after a day or so to enable them to become familiar with the scent of the other cat/kitten. Litter trays are especially important as some cats refuse to share litter trays and you don't want to start bad toileting habits for the sake of adding one or two more litter trays. The general rule with litter trays is one per cat and one extra. It is always best to start this way as it can be much harder to re-introduce them happily if they don't take to one another. Hopefully it will all go smoothly though and many members of the forum will tell you that they had no problem introducing a new kitten.
I'm sure if I've missed anything someone else will soon be along to tell you.
Good luck, and I hope we get to see photos of them both soon
Thanks so much for the advice!

They have the same parents, but were they in the same litter? I'll be waiting to hear Friday how it all goes. Again welcome.
I think the kitten is from the same parents, a later litter though. Little later litter for Aleir, say that 3 times fast!
Welcome to the forum Aleir, your kitty's are stunning!
Welcome and congratulations on your new kitten. They are both just beautiful!
Hello
I'm the proud servant to two Raggies which are mother and daughter, Her Majesty Tiffany and Princess Darling.
I noticed after Tiffany had her royal kitties that I had to give her a little bit of extra attention. I think she was scared she would lose the "one to one" attention. So I purposely bought new toys for her as well as the royal kitties. I also make sure I give her the reassurance that she is loved no less. I feed them together but give a little treat to each separately.
My thoughts are "how would i feel if i were in her fur coat?"
Dare i say, she has definitely trained me well.
Welcome to the forum, Aleir! Congrats on your new kitty too

Hi Guys,
Milo and Wally are getting along well... They want to play together, but i am afraid that Milo might hurt him! They have been running around chasing each other, but Milo seems to be takings bites at him! They dont seem like mean bites, but wally squeald a lil bit! Is this normal or should i wait till wally is a bit bigger to let them wrestle.
Thanks for all the great advice
Aleir
As long as Milo isn't pinning him down and not letting him get back up or obviously bullying Wally I wouldn't worry too much. Some cats and kittens can be very vocal when they are playing and sound like they are really being hurt but you should soon be able to work out when Wally is genuinely hurt.
Thanks for the reply.
Maybe I am being a bit over protective of Wally because he is so much smaller than Milo. They are actually doing great together. Milo actually is now more protective of Wally than ever. Seems like every day they become closer.
Wally is a little bully; he attacks and pounces on Milo...hehe
The hissing that was going on at first by Milo is almost non-existent.
They spend their time together cleaning and and playing with each other.
I still have Wally in his own room and I take him out few times a day to play with his older brother. I think i will continue to do that until i am really sure that Wally will be ok!
Over all they are doing great together!
Warmly
Aleir
Great to hear they are getting along so well.
