Ok....this is just silly, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

Sunny is your typical high energy kitty. She runs like her tails on fire, skids across the hardwood floors, etc. The REALLY funny part?

Ever since we brought her home at 12 weeks, she runs like a goofball. Our other two cats run 'normally'...but not our Sunny. When she's running, the front half of her body looks normal. The back half is another story completely. LOL It's ALL over the place. It's like she has zero control of it and it totally cracks us up !! Her back end bounces up and down and she looks like a bunny that's lost all control. Bouncing up and down, left and right. OMG...we laugh ourselves silly when we watch her run.

Is that a breed thing, or just our goofy kitties thing ? We hope she never stops. It's so adorable...

Oh this is so funny beacuse I have to say I have laughed myself silly thinking that Charlie was the only cat that ran like an out of control goofy penguin!!! Glad that it's not only Charlie. I wonder if they do this beacuse they are "growing into their bodies" LOL ... I am curious to see if any other rags do this

Haha yay! Now I also know my silly little goofball is not the only one! (goofball, great word!) It must be the polished/tiled floors... he has trouble stopping too, its like he's always on ice skates If a toy is thrown down the hallway he'll chase after it, slide past it and forget to put on the brakes! Funny tho, our other raggie doesn't seem to do this.

Well, Mocha doesn't really run very often, lol. I am loving hearing your descriptions wish I could see the bunny butts in action!

I wouldn't say Solo does a bunny hop, but it is funny watching him suddenly freak out and attack his imagination little mousies! We crack up because he will give this look; his ears go back, his eyes go wide, and then he starts chasing invisible things with very jerky motions. So funny!

Sometimes Evo will run at top speed, and then skid/slide as if he is doing this on purpose... It is very comical... So, I can imagine Sunny doing the same thing... Hahaha..

Mine don't really do it that I've noticed except Simone when going down steps. Samantha does the four legs coordinated going down steps. Simone has the front two legs going and the bum just kind of hops up and down behind them going down steps.

LOL yes mine do this at times! If they are rather excited and playful...sometimes I wonder * as I glimpse them race past me* if their limbs are even attatched to their bodies LOL...it's cute isn't it

Oh, ya Kim...it's SO cute !! When people are over and playing with Sunny and she does her little 'bouncy bunny butt' run they get hysterical laughing. It really is like her back half isn't attached to her front half and is on springs.

I just adore it !

Dusty's the only one that does this, I though it might be because she has a big fat sack between her back legs where as Belle doesn't.
