while our house is being built, we had to move out of the house we were renting (because it sold) and i moved into my parents, and bens been staying with a friend. We have been living like this since christmas.

we have also store ALL of our furniture, washing machine, dryer, crockery, appliances (basically everything) underneath the friends' house, where ben has been staying.

Our friends have been kind enough to let Ben live there rent-free... I feel that they've really put themselves out for us, and we would really like to get them something really nice, to say that we REALLY appreciate everything we have done for them.

Apart from a very nice bottle of wine, we have no idea what to get for them. Does anyone have any ideas?
Tons of ideas, but first...how much do you want to spend ? Just how much appreciation are we talkin' here ? Wink
Not really that worried about money - just want to make sure that we really TRULY appreciate it...
i had looked at this couples aromatic clay massage for 90 mins and that was $300-$400. do you think something like that would be appropriate?

(i spend a bit too much money on presents, but it makes me feel really good to make someone else happy)
of course, if you have any ideas that are cheaper than this - that would be also be greatly appreciated by my bank balance Smile
I think that's a wonderful idea - who wouldn't love something like that??
Sounds wonderful!! Another idea is a membership to a wine club, if they like wine.
What are they interested in-together? That would really narrow down the ideas. If they play golf, there are passes for a day to a nice club. If they love to stay home and entertain, a fire pit for a deck, really nice glassware for serving wine or cocktails, a comfy swing with lots of pillows. If they like dining out, dinner for two at an exclusive restaurant. If they're homebodies and movie fans, a few classic movies and a basket with popcorn, candies, cookies, etc. A Nat Geo collection? All those things would be in the from $100-300 range, depending on the size you chose. Any would please me, as long as it was accompanied by a very sincere homemade card or letter of thanks.
Oh, and everyone is all up in the air about Nintendo WII's if they're players. Smile
