Andrab, just a couple months ago, my sister adopted a one year old domestic cat that came home with severe explosive diarrhea. It continued, and she took the cat to the vet with a fecal sample which came up negative. Still the diarrhea kept on, and was occasionally pure red blood. The stools were very, very smelly. She took more stool samples in during the month, all testing fine. Finally, the vet sent a stool into a special lab to test for CAMPYLOBACTER infection & it was positive for that. It was a severe case. The cat was treated with a 5 day antibiotic and had firm stools within just 3 days. I guess this infection is some sort of E Coli strain of infection. Perhaps my sister's cat picked it up at the foster home she got it from? The people pretended they hadn't noticed a thing wrong with the cats stools.
I hope your Ragdoll feels better soon. That's a tough thing to go through.
