Pandora went to the vet this morning to be spayed, she cried all the way their. She even made noises i never heard before! I hope she'll be ok, i just feel bad doing this to her,but i know it's in her best interest. Will she be the same when she comes home? Does her disposition change? Any thing i should do for her when i bring her home? Never had to take care of a cat that had surgery any advise would be appriciated. Thanks
You will not notice any difference in a kitten who has been spayed. An adult may show changes in appetite and may become more calm and less territorial.
Keep in mind this is a common and comparatively trouble free procedure.
Be sure to tell your vet you're new at caring for a pet after surgery. They may recommend an elizabethan collar if she bothers her stitches. Some cats act like nothing has happened and breeze right through.
Hope it works that way for you.

Wishing you and Pandora all the best. I"m sure she'll bounce right back, but be sure to let us know how she's doing.
Or, Janileee... the Collar of Shame as they call it in the movie "Up".
Pandora will be just fine, there are countless stories on the forum of successful speuters with speedy recoveries. Enjoy your baby, have we seen pics of her yet?
Aw poor thing, lots of cuddles and TLC and she will be fine

Sometimes they are a bit hyper until the anaesthetic wears off, so don't be worried if that happens. When we first brought our boy Merlin home from the breeder, he was mewing very quietly and then his voice completely changed into a resounding "mworwwww!" it sounds similar to your little girl, probably cat-talk for "muuuuuum, whats going on??"
Our boy and girl came home with the collar of shame on them too! They had them off within 30 minutes. After a few hours of battling to put them back on and watching them throw themselves up against walls to try and get it off, we decided to leave them off when we were home and monitor the licking. We put the collars back on when we were out, but sure enough they were off when we got home! No infections or complications either. We found them to both be more energetic than we expected but a little off their food. Ava's stitches were internal and didn't require removal. They went back a week later to check that they were ok and we were told to watch out for any redness, swelling, heat around the wound site, oozing and any vomiting. She will be fine. I was just extra careful when lifting her up anywhere. Half the time she wanted to jump higher than I thought was safe!
Best wishes to Pandora

Very best wishes to Pandora and you.
Our little babies Eddie and Luna are scedueld for spaying on march 31.
I will be glad when it's all over.
The breeder gave me tip to avoid the collar. It's some kind of coat and I am starting Luna to get used of it right now (every day a couple of minutes) so she'll be comfortable after surgery. It looks strange but it probably will be more comfortable. She can use the litterpan without problems:

Wow Elise, I've never seen one of those before. What a great idea instead of those awful collars. They have to be more comfortable. (and yeah!! A little Luna fix for me!) -- her colors are really coming in so beautifully. What a pretty tail color!
