Elisa, Love the coat idea,,,, so much better lucky Luna no shame collar for her..Smile
What is the coat called and were did you get it ,,it would be good for reference for other people to know about.
I completely forgot until I saw the coat! Malachai had some BIG abdominal surgery when he was a baby and I was really worried about the stitches. The vet said she'd take care of that. She had some of those stocking things they put on broken arms before they put the cast material on. She took scissors and just cut little armholes out and there was a snug little shirt. Malachai never gave it a second look. I checked stitches and bandages every day and replaced the shirt once because the original was getting sort of dirty, but it worked like a charm. I guess I'd ask a doctor, hospital, or vet how to get them if your vet doesn't already have some, but I bet they will.

It's called a medical pet shirt.
I got it on http://www.medpets.nl but you'll probably will be able to buy this in the USA too....
Thanks for all your thoughts and all the info, Pandora did great! She is sweet now as she was when she went in.(THANK GOD) i was soo nervous!, She got staples and she seems to not be at them,so thats a plus! Trying to keep her from jumping but it's hard, But i would love to have had luna's coat, what a great thing to have after surgery!

I'm glad she did well, I definitely know how nerve racking it can be! Monkey's neuter is a week old now and he's completely back to normal Smile
