I SWEAR that I could make a sweater from this boy's fur! This is from one short session with the Zoom Groom. Unreal!

OMG!! so much hair! and so much for the myth that ragdolls don't moult!
You're the crafty one -- so how about we send you all our raggie fur and you make some yarn and knit something?? LOL!!
Bwahahahaha!!! I think I'm good for fur right now. I think I'll name my next Ragdoll" Furbee" LOL. I have heard of people who use their pet's fur.. we had a neighbor growing up who knit with her poodle's hair. It seems slightly disturbing, not sure why!
OMG. I just got a zoom groom today, it is still in the bag. I can't wait to use it

I saw on the modern cat blog, that they made cat toys/balls out of their hair. I found it a little strange too.

Since getting Edward shaved, we havent had raggie tumbleweeds anywhere. its been great.
i always have to be careful when brushing edward that i hide the hair from him. He always has to eat it afterwards - little weirdo Tongue
There was a story on Animal Planet about a cat groomer who spun yarn from her persian's fur and made a purse! Her purse was such a hit that people started to ask her to make purses out of the hair clipped from their persians--cool but kinda creepy (-: Maybe you could try that with Mocha's fur!
OMG, after reading the link from Meghan I am afraid of all the people rushing to the pet stores for Furminators just so they can knit bags or make furball toys. I envision a lot of shaved, cold kittys.

Hahah!! Kitty you're so funny. I don't know what's wrong with Max, he doesn't seem to shed. His hair is like Rabbits fur. My other cats make up for it.
I saw that show on Animal Planet too, the one where she made purses from shedded fur...pretty gross if you ask me!
