My sweet cuddly boy is feeling well. He has two personalities, sweet, loving and cuddly and hell on wheels. The breeder did warn me that this was the cat who could climb walls and was full of himself, but I didn't believe it.

In the last 24 hours, Linus has climbed two lamps and balanced on the finial. He climbed my fabric bins which are 10 feet tall, spilled 2 glasses of water, broke a pair of glasses, tormented Blue and Gussie, sat on top of my sewing machine pulling out the thread, ripped and bit my fabric covered design wall, and I could continue.

The worst however happened at 12:15 last night. I put him in the master bedroom, (2nd floor) and went downstairs in a tshirt ,underwear with bare feet to let one of the dogs in. Faster than a speeding bullet he was out the door, jumped off the porch, ran to the picket fence and slipped under. I was running in the front yard, which is the dog bathroom area, stepping in everything, screaming at the top of my lungs. Ran in the house to pull on pants and get my husband, hysterical, already thinking the worst; coyote, lost forever, hawk, etc. I couldn't understand how this happened as we are so very careful about just this thing.

Ran outside and he was streaking towards the house but when he saw me started going toward the fence again. We pretended to walk to the house and grabbed him in a flying leap before he could get away again. I have never been so frightened. No matter how much I prepare this could happen again. As soon as the meds are finished he is getting his chip. Now we lock him in the room while we open the door. It was beyond scary and it took me a while to calm down.

Linus (from Peanuts) is quiet, philosophical, and loves his blanky. Maybe that's the wrong name for him, and we should change it to Dennis. The menace.
He's our angel-demon kitty.

Oh my goodness - what a scare! (hey I've done the underwear, T-shirt thing outside with Smoke when I heard a cat fight) I'm glad he came back. I was reading through your post and when I got to the "as soon as the meds" - and I could have sworn you were going to say that "as soon as the meds I took to calm down"

Linus/Dennis -- not much difference in the name sound -- so Linus/Dennis could catch on quick to a name change, LOL!!!!
Dennis seems more appropriate to me aswell...
Glad he is ok. Make sure you watch that cheeky boy.
OMG, I am so sorry to tell you that I had to laugh as the imagery flashed in my mind. I have been there as well, wanting to throttle them, but being so relieved to have them back!

He is a hellion, Dennis is a great name!
I just read your episode to hubby (because it was so visual) and he still wants to know if you have video to go with it.
Oh Judy- I can just imagine. What a cocky boy to run out so fast though!

IT WOULD GIVE HIM NIGHTMARES! NOT A PRETTY IMAGE! JUST A VERY FUNNY ONE.
OO it definitely sounds like he is full of himself! Maybe finally feeling a little more accepted by the others gave him this sudden ego boost? Glad he is safe and well now. Maybe every time he is near the door shake a noise maker to help him associate the door with not so fun things? I would be worried about him trying to run out again Sad

Dennis is a cute name...!
Gosh! I am glad the lil' mite is safe and sound! Cheeky devil, better watch that lil' guySmile
