hello all sorry havent been here much
but what is your opinion on a doemestic cat and a ragdoll
i have 2 them too ragdolls and one my friends claims
that his cat is no differance to his doemestic cats

i think there is cause my friend has 2 doemestic cats
and there way differant than a ragdoll

i think i would always stick with a ragdoll
and wouldnt go back to any breed
one thing i didnt like he told me to get your
cats declawed i would never do that i read alot
about ragdolls and alot people say not to do that
I have ragdolls and domestics and I would say there definitely is a difference. The ragdolls are far more sociable, they always want to be with us and they love the attention they get, the cuddles and everything. The domestics are far quicker, more agile and altogether much, much smaller!!
everytime i leave too work they get mad
was readng at this forum about what
is baddist thing your ragdoll did, mine always
tips over glass and they chewed up my mini blinds

there cheap blinds so i dont care
I have both. My Ragdoll is much more affectionate. More "dog like". Follows me around and even greets me when I come home. He's also a cuddle bug.
My Raggie is a people cat, very affectionate. My DHC is more of a loner.. though he is figuring out how to be more social by watching his Ragdoll brother Smile.
awww thanks for the input the my female is 1 years old as of last week
and male be one year in may the female likes cuddle the male dont like be picked up
only short time but he likes his belly rubbed and like nose kisses

if anyone has face book i would like add u there
i have some pic on my page
I have 2 raggies and a british shorthair, my raggies love people and greet everyone including strangers. They usually get to the door before me when someone knocks/rings bell. They have to inspect tools boxes that belong to workmen and even try to help them fix things. My BSH will swipe at any strangers if they get too close and always watches from a safe distance.

Regarding de-clawing -- you should never de-claw any cat, it is illegal in some countries for a reason, it involves amputating the cats toes - all of them.

i love my cats and i want them to be happy
as for a human i told somebody how would u like
if they took your nails off they didnt know what to say but they say your furniture will get ruined..thats wrong agree with u 100%
I have to admit, I have met a fair share of domestic cats with similar personalities to Ragdolls. It depends on how they were raised and probably with genetic temperament. SOME domestic cats are just as sweet and dog like as Ragdolls, but, when you go with a Ragdoll, you are almost guaranteed that awesome personality and a certain look to your cat. So in my opinion, a Raggie is better Tongue
I am owned by 2 Raggies and 4 Moggies, whilst my Moggies are lovelySmile My 2 Raggies just have that puppy dog way, not to mention extremely gentle, gorgeous blue eyes hehe and just plain uniqueSmile
