I have posted pics of my cat on shutterfly -

maybe someone here can take a look and see if he is a ragdol or something else? When my son got Fluffy as a new kitten, about 5 years ago, he was told Fluffy was a tabby. I haven't found any pics of any cats that have the color patterns that Fluffy has.

The description of the Ragdol breed fits Fluffy to a T. He is the most friendly, loving cat, follows me all around in my apt. When he wants to be petted he'll come up to me and bump his head against my leg to get my attention. His coat is soft, thick, silky smooth. Everyone who's seen him just falls in love with him.

Thankyou for taking a few minutes to look at my pics and helping with identifying Fluffy's breed.

Hi Chip!

I know for sure that others will soon chime in and say unless your cat came from a breeder and has a pedigree and/or papers to prove it, you will never know if your cat is truly a purebred cat. Many mixed breed cats end up with similar markings and temperaments that are just like Ragdoll's. I can't see his pics yet (SHH I'm at work haha) though.

Ragdoll or not, this is a great site and welcome!!
Ragdoll or not, you are more than welcome here! Smile
Not a Ragdoll, but you are right that getting a Ragdoll probably would be the best way to have another cat most like Fluffy.
Hi and welcome to the forum. Fluffy, while a beautiful cat, really isn't a ragdoll, but you're still welcome. Next thing you know, you'll have a ragdoll companion for Fluffy, then you'll have two wonderful cats!
Welcome! Your fluffy is really beautiful. I am not a breeder so I can't weigh in on an opinion, but Fluffy is so very sweet. Glad to have you here.

Thanks for the replies, guess Fluffy is just a mutt, oh well, he's a fantastic companion nonetheless.
Among cat folk and following the lead of the UK and Australia, random bred cats are called moggies and there is no negative connotation to it, unlike "mutt." So, he is a proud moggie.
and so begins the Raggie infatuation, lol. Welcome to the forum!! Love the pics Smile.
Hi Chip. I can't open your pictures, but I can tell you that we are suckers for all cats here,Tongue so it really doesn't matter the breed. We are happy to have you both.
Welcome to the forum!
