I live in New Jersey, USA but my cat Henry is from Portugal.

Henry flew via AirPortugal from Lisbon to Newark, NJ on 31 May 04 and has remained in our hearts every since. He was six years old in February and is a complete love.

As soon as I figure out how to post photos I will add some. There is a small photo shown in my avatar, he is a cream colorpoint.

CherylK, thank you! I'm loving this forum! And congratulations, your Henry is so cute!!! May I ask why did you prefer a cat from Portugal? USA have so many breeders!...

I already did some contacts with breeders from Portugal and Spain, but no compromising emails only, because I can't have a cat now. But I never thought to go further, and that is another reason that makes me ask you about get a cat from a distant country!

Hi Diana!

I'm the proud mommy of 2 ragdolls since 1,5 month. I am an international flight attendant. I do not live together (yet) with my boyfriend so when I am flying I bring my girls (sky and nova) to his house. The breeder strongly advised me to take 2 because of this. And I must admit, they are such a joy together! I wouldn't miss either one of them! I was a bit afraid that if they have each other they would not be so affectionate but they are! They follow me around the house and watch everything I do. When I'm on the computer they always walk by on the keyboard so I have to re-start typing! They usually sleep next to me - not now because of the heat they sleep on the bathroom floor tiles.

I started using soft paws after 2 weeks. I clipped their nails first while they were sleeping and then I put them on! WONDERFULL! My new couch is happy and when I'm playing with them no more accidental scratching! And the girls don't mind at all. When you start young they will get used to it very quickly.

By the way, my boyfriend and I are planning to move to the Algarve in 4 years time!! Next year we will start to learn portuguese! We are planning to start a bed and breakfast. And my real name is Diana too!

Yes, when I get my kitten, I will write about it and I will show some photos!!! My brother is going to do allergy tests monday, so I'm a little worried, because I only get a kitten if he is not allergic, off course.

About soft paws, I hope I won't need them, but I will buy a pack, just in case...

Moving to the Algarve? Good choise!!! I'm from Algarve and it has a problem now: there is so good weather... I just want to be on the beach, but I have to be at home studying!...
