I like sport cars... So, can you guess how Sky and Evo is related to sport cars?? Hehehe.... Sky is short for Skyline (Nissan) and Evo is short for Evolution 9 (Mitsubishi)... I like the name Sky very much because Sky is a blue colourpoint, and "sky" is also blue colour.. Hahaha... Not very creative, I must say...

North Dakota is the first place my husband and I have lived after we got married, and our raggie is our very first pet together--hence his name Dakota!
In Molly's previous life, she was called 'Sandy' but I decided she should have a new name for her new life (I didn't want any reminders of her previous life as they did not take care of her at all).
Since she is a Flame Point Ragdoll, I figured as a human she would be a flaming redhead which to me is irish. So I went through irish names and felt 'Molly' fit her.
She took to her new name right away, as if it was her name all along :-)
In my old house we had feral cats at our back door every day, but a few became very special. One was a gorgeous Siamese we named Smoky.
Smoky showed up one day with two little fluffballs. We tried to trap her and the kittens but they were too smart or too fast. One kitten disappeared, I am guessing, adopted by a neighbor (I hope). I eventually got them to come just inside the door with dishes of wet food. It was summer, and they'd sprawl on the tile to cool off.
Kahlua in my bird bath..
My niece and her boyfriend came over for dinner one night and fell in love with the kitten, and decided that they had to have him.. so I got him to eat his wet food close to me the next day and managed to slip my hand under his tummy and picked him up. I was prepared for biting and scratching but he was simply scared with big huge eyes. Long story cut long LOL .. they adopted him, got him to the vet, bought Feliway and kept to a routine of visiting him in "his bedroom", playing, treats, etc. and now he is a well adjusted and thoroughly spoiled cat who happily shares a house with one other cat and a Maltese.
The reason for the explanation is that they named the kitten Kahlua, at the time we thought that he may be related to Mocha, hence Mocha's name. Of course I soon discovered that Mocha was fixed so they were not related.. just similar colors.
Bonkers gets his name from the day we picked him out at the animal shelter and were playing with him in the visitor's room. He was so playful, I said "he's going bonkers". My daughter said, "that would be a great name for him" so there ya go!
