The other day I was browsing through various Ragdoll breeder's pages and I found a testimonies page that was rather interesting. This lady was purchasing two kittens and her girlfriends threw her a "kitten shower". LOL......how awesome~ She had a baby shower cake with the kitten's names on it and got new kitten related gifts! I thought that was so neat and I wish I had friends that would do something like that......I wish you all lived next door to me. hehe.....Smile
I would have loved something like that before I brought my girls home. I would even love to give one or participate in one, not even be the recipient! Of course someone who lives close to me would have to be getting another kitten...hmmmm...who lives close to me....Regina (missnino) and Jan (janilee) -- ok girls, when are you getting your new kitten??
Awww what a cute idea.
Maybe we could do an online baby showerSmile
hmmmm,,,, how would that work

Maybe you could all come up here and throw a shower, because I am SERIOUSLY thinking of getting a third kitten. Hmmm. maybe you could all come up here and help me put another room on the house instead. Or commit me.
A shower is a great idea. I went to a memorial for a friend of mine. She had had her cat for many years and of course was very upset. I thought it would be sad, but instead it was a happy occasion. They had pictures of the kitty, my friend talked about her and another friend read funny little things about cats. Lots of food & drink. By the end of the day my friend felt a lot better.
its time for judy (gussie) kitten show she brings her kitten home monday. woohoo....
That is a neat idea! The mommy could register at one of the pet stores just like a bride registers at a department store.

(oh gosh, wish I could get another kitten!)
Gussie reminds me of something: We were given a puppy shower when Sophie came home. It was all great fun. Sophie ran from person to perso, toy to toy, and even had cake. Socialized dogs are like that. The same friends who gave the puppy shower had also offered to help us move. On moving day, one developed hemmorhoids, one urgently needed to change his oil, and the third took a ride and "accidentally" found himself in Clearwater, FL. As God is my witness, I will never lift another refrigerator. Gussie, get the room first!
Loyal friends aside, we live in the wonderful world of WWW. We can order online, post pix and videos. I imagine kittehs would much more enjoy a remote party, being the private preciouses they are.
Gee Teresa, Miles is new....to you. And, there's a party boy, if ever there was one.Big Grin

I think we should all get together in person, and have a barn raising. We downsized when we moved to the cape and I don't think it's working!!

For virtual showers you could copy a picture of the present you want to give and pretend. Anyone want to give us one of those special cat trees??!!! Money would be no object.
