This is a great thread as my vacuum is on its last leg & I'll be needing one soon. However, for quick pick ups I just love my Hoover Linx Cordless Stick Vac. I bought it at Christmas time in anticipation of the new kitty which I didn't even have yet. I can't really say how it will work on shed hair as Luca hasn't done any shedding in the one week he's been with us but I do know it works great on picking up kitty litter granules....even in the corners and along the edges of the walls.
I took into consideration several factors including reviews, your suggestions and pricing to make my decision. I purchased the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I made a good choice.
I think Bissel's products are good in general so hopefully you'll be happy with your vac. I LOVE my Bissel steam cleaner.
Good luck and please follow up with a review for the rest of us.
I've had the Dyson Ball for about 4 years and love it, but like someone else said, the hose is short and not easy to use. I just love the way it corners with the ball and it picks up the cat fur just fine.
