This is my back yard the one tree is a weeping willow it is just covered with crystals.This happened cause we had fog and temps got down to around 6 degrees last night. What a gorgouse picture to wake up to Ice crystals everywere.

When we are supposed to get snow and we actually get precipitation, that's often what we get. It is pretty, but heavier than snow and sometimes causes a lot of damage from broken trees and power lines.
Sure hope it gently melts away and leaves everything intact for you.

Jan we did not get this from frezzing rain it came from fog and temps dropping so low,, so it was soft and light on the tree branches.
This is the frist time I ever seen this happen because of fog.
