I've been busy with responsible and ethical Ragdoll Breeders throughout the Cat Fancy educating Ragdoll Pet Buyers about the finer points of purchasing a Ragdoll and "What Is a Ragdoll" Wink

I suggested that they probably go through quite a few of the shorthairs before finding one to live through the mating. Smile

They are called Savannahs and naturally are only registrable by TICA Wink

I met a lady that had 2 Servals she bought from a Savannah Breeder while exhibiting the RagaMuffins at a CFA Show in Madison Square Garden. She wanted to purchase "Muffins" almost at any cost. Money didn't matter! I flatly refused her and told her I didn't want my cats as little snacks for her Servals This lady was clearly a Collector and shopped around and did purchase a Birman. Six months later that Birman kitten was hospitalized and rescued. Evidently the Servals thought the Birman was a walking whole chicken! The Servals were confiscated. The lady who owned the Servals was a well known Producer for a Nationwide TV Station.............

Wow that sounds like a huge responsibility. Especially informing people with little or no knowledge of the breed. Hopefully it prevents people from buying from unreputable and unethical breeders.

Exactly............... And hopefully reputable and ethical Breeders practice early de-sexing of their kittens to further minimize the supply of Breedable kittens to the unreputable and unethical ones. Wink
