What the heck, my kitty has problems...

After all the problems we had last week with his infected toe, he's having more feet problems! I just noticed that he's missing a toenail! It's not the toe that was infected but a different one. So now he has one toenail that's completely black and weird looking (but healing) and on the other foot one that is completely gone. The vet told me that his toenail could very likely come off during this healing process so when I saw one was missing I assumed it was the infected one but no, it's a different one.

I'm wondering if he injured this one in his fall too and I was so fixated on the other one that I didn't even notice the other foot. And he's always biting and pulling on his toenails, I bet he pulled it right out. What a weirdo. Good thing he's on antibiotics already for the other toe!

Here's his icky black one

I swear he's trying to declaw himself (lol)
Aww, poor Dexy....he's really having some nail problems, isn't he? That was quite the tumble he took.
That looks quite bad, poor Dex.
Awww, poor Dexter. I wonder if he will grow the missing one back.
Ooooo I love your new sig Deb!! Gorgeous.

When the vet had talked about him losing his nail he said that eventually it would grow back. I think the infected one will probably come off too soon. Yea, he has problems!

I love it too, Teresa made it she always does such a nice job. I don't ever have to change anything either it's just great the first time. Smile

Dex is still beautiful, even with all his problems. Smile
Deb, I thought that sig was new, nice job Teresa it's beautiful!

SO sorry Lyndsey to hear about the other toenail, I know how it hurts when I've smashed a fingernail.. yikes!
Awww I hope Dex's lil' toe heals upSmile
OMG! That looks quite bad, poor Dex. I hope he gets better soon.
I am not believing this! I was just looking at Oliver's claws to see if they need clipped and one of them looks all dried bloody/black. What did your vet say to do? I'm going tomorrow for Oliver's second round of shots so I will have them look at it. I'm not sure how it happened but it doesn't look like it was from me cutting the nail because it looks sort of split down the side. He pulled his foot away, did your vet state if it would be painful for Dex. Oliver just ended an antibiotic Saturday that he had been on for 21 days for something else.

Here is a picture of it. Looks, like I need to get some lotion on my hands too. LOL!

So, apparently not too traumatized by the whole ordeal. Smile
