I think I am lucky... Coz I have quite a number of friends who are cat crazy ppl, just like me... Most of them keep moggies, either saved them from nearby their homes or from rescue shelters... I also got to know Crystal (aka kristall) during the last cat show.. She is also very passionate about cats and pets...

In my head Im kind of shaking them and saying, "Don't you see how lovable they are?????? Don't you see how much I love them? " lol.....it's rather comedic but extremely frustrating~~ Im so glad I have this place where I KNOW everyone gets it!!!!!
It's the same for me. I am so glad I have all of you to share my excitement about them or I would be lonely. One of my daughters shares the love as much as me so that's nice.

My kids totally get.. but that's about it!
T.. you got laptops for the forum?? Ha ha, I love it!!

My husband used to get preturbed too until I found out he doesn't object to me being on the computer so much as he didn't like me being away from him, isolating myself in my office at home. Now I have two laptops and lots of times we're both in our recliners in front of TV with our laptops!!
Oh my gosh -- I just reread what I wrote -- we need to get a life!!
LOL, that's what we do every night after the kids go to bed.
This thread is so funny! No one really gets my obsession with ragdolls or this forum! I wish I had a ragdoll friend who lived close by to share it with sometimes. Its not all bad this forum is great for sharing crazy cat talk! Anyway I have 3 boys and my other half who are all PS3 obsessed, they can play whenever they want, lol!
Since Nelson and this forum are my family, YES, everyone at home gets it. Doesn't that sound nice? It would, if I could stay home every day.
Once, I met up with a man, in transport. He was letting the dogs take a potty break when we got there, so we chatted a few minutes. I already knew he was a doctor and, close-minded person that I am, I asked if he were a vet. He said, no, he didn't like people. He did transports because he loved animals. That took me aback for a moment, but I looked at the dogs and thought, "I don't LOVE dogs (except my own), but I feel I need to help them. Maybe that's the way he feels about people."
Since then, I smile tolerantly when other people tell me about their dogs, smile encouragingly when they talk about cats, and smile in pity when they say that don't like animals, at all (what terrible thing must have happened in their life that they can't love innocence, beauty, and love?). I don't even start on Raggies. I show them the desktop on my computer, if they ask. They see the pictures on my desk. We all agree they are lovely. Rarely, someone will ask me about Raggies and I come alive!
The way I see it, you only need one other person to "get it", and we've got LOTS of them right here.

Actually Jasper himself is the biggest ambassador for raggies. They see how personable he is and friendly and how he will let you hold him (plus how handsome he is goes without mentioning!). Most see what it was that lead me to get a ragdoll this time and a few people are now considering getting one. My daughter's one friend is afraid of cats and it is almost like Jasper knows this and he is trying his best to get her to like him. I have seen her reach out to pet him, so his charm must be rubbing off!
Speaking of....my sister just emailed me pictures of one she is considering!
Ohhh Ruthann....let us know if she gets a kittie! Ask her to join the forum...then lots of pics hehe

I have been a cat lover all of my life and I have always had a cat in my home. Home just doesn't feel like home without one! I pretty much devote my life to my cats (even my husband and kids take second place unless it's an emergency) but they understand. They love my cats and help me take care of them. I am called Catwoman because I once took my white persian out for a walk on a lead in my tight leather trousers (remember Catwoman in the Batman films LOL). I wouldn't be seen dead in those trousers now BTW!
I had an instance where someone came to view my house when I was selling up and Viz (my Birman) came to answer the front door with me. The woman asked if I could remove the cat from the house as she was a bit wary of cats. I promptly told her to go and view another house LOL! My cat was more important to me than selling my own home, that's how potty and protective I am about my cats.
Anyhow I could ramble on and on about this all day but I think you have a snapshot of how cat crazy I am.
