Today in one of their quick meetings both of my boys were purring and Albus actually licked Fawkes! I was almost jumping in the air with excitement! Albus is so sweet and isn't agressive at all while Fawkes is very confident and they are seeming a great match. Okay- I'll stop annoying you now lol. Oh also, in the meeting I noticed that Albus is being much more gentle while they're playing (he might of noticed that everytime he gets a bit rough they get seperated again or he might just be getting used to Fawkes and compensating for how large he is; either way we're very proud!). Every meeting/visit just gets better and better than the last and they are playing and really seeming to enjoy eachother's company. When they are seperated just after a meeting they will both tell us how annoying being seperated is and are a bit restless for a while.
Anyway, it's nice to be able to go on and on about cat stuff to people who understand lol. Thanks.

I know what you mean about like-minded people. There are a lot of non-cat people in my office so its nice to be able to share my excitement and concerns with people rather than keeping them to myself. I love that Albus gave Fawkes a bit of a lick. Felix and Barney have done this, with a bit of gnawing on the ear, but I nearly yelled with excitement over it too! Isn't it lovely that Albus has noticed the size difference or the reaction you have to rough play. They will catch up to each other at some point and then it will be no holds barred! I think it is gorgeous that they are pining for each other after their play dates. I bet you feel like the bad one having to end all the fun. I love hearing how it is all going, there is never too much. In fact maybe you should install a 24 hour kitty cam so we can watch both of them! I sometimes wonder what I would find mine doing with no one home. I think the main activity is sleep!

I feel really bad especially if Albus has the run of the house and Fawkes is in his room and Albus sits outside of his room and meows and Fawkes meows from inside of the room and vice versa. A kitty cam is a great idea lol, definitley would be interesting though I agree with you that the main activity is sleep!

When Kizmet arrived, I put him straight in with Cazbah...and they never really did anything...cept' play from the start lol....but I havta say...whilst they love eachothers company...they prefer human company more

Hello all,
I am new to this site and the whole Ragdoll way of life. I like in the UK with my girlfriend Hannah and out 2 yr old siberian Dima.
We are adopting a ragdoll in 2 weeks, he is male.
Do you have any tips on intigrating them? We have been told the best thing is to keep them in seperate rooms for a few weeks and let them smell each others toys, beds by swapping them round from time to time.
Do you have any better ideas?

Take it slow, but then when I got Kizmet 2 weeks ago..I just placed him with Cazbah my other raggie kitten..and they just played until the sun went down hehe...but they are both kittens...I would take it slow, introduce them slowley...and take it as it comes..I am sure they will be fine
