Used to when I logged on and had a PM from someone it would give me a notice about it -- now it doesn't and unless I just happen to notice, I overlook them. I've noticed I've sent others PM that haven't been picked up (did you know under control panel you can see tracking to see if they've been read?), yet those people log on to the forum. (Ok, so maybe they aren't like me and not reading PMs doesn't bother them) So does anyone know a secret I'm missing to set PMs to notify you when you come on the forum. I know it will send me an e-mail, but I've had the e-mails take a day or more to come through. Just wondering if I'm missing something.....

I also have noticed unless you go back and refresh your page pm notification will not register above.
It use to be they would pop up to let you know..

Under Edit Options in Control Panel there is an option that says "Alert me with a notice when I receive a PM" and I have it checked...there's another one that says to alert by e-mail and I have that checked too.....but.....I'm not getting the alert notice....
I just went to see how mine were setup and there the same as yours.
A lot of new people have come in after the forum change so they most likely don't know what were talking about.lol It probably don't bug them like it does us
mine is set up to email me and I think it has worked but I do not check my PM's unless I get a message so maybe I better check it.

Mine has never showed up as having a new message. I either see that I have a message because it will email me (though sometimes it gets sorted as spam) or by glancing up and seeing that I have messages. Very unhelpful post I know, but showing solidarity! They should fix this for sure!
I know what you mean! It doesnt do it for me anymore either.
This annoyed me a little, because i only noticed i had a PM yesterday and i dont know how long it was sitting there for.
Maybe we could send a request to admin about it.
