Hi,
I am going to be a Ragdoll mommy in the not to distant future. I am not too sure if Addy (the mommy kitty) is pregnant, so it may be a while. I had a beautiful boy named Deeter Doug that I believe was part Ragdoll so I guess a Raggie wannabe. He had the best personality and was so handsome with his flame point (or cream?) markings. He would purr if you just looked at him. He escaped from my home recently and has not returned. We have done everything, yelled and yelled, posted posters in my condo complex, alerted the vet in case someone brings him in as their own, also checked the animal shelter twice. He was only around 13 so I don't think he went off to die, but I don't know for sure. We even had my father-in-law bring his dog to try to track him in the woods behind the condo. Since he was an inside cat and didn't care for collars we didn't have a name tag on him. I regret that decision. I am telling myself he has been adopted and is being loved by another family. I will be getting my new baby from Velvet Rags. I have spoken with Angela a few times and am thrilled my kitty will be coming from such a warm and loving environment. I have 2 other furry babies, an orange and white tabby named Dumas Dewayne and a small gray tabby named Desiray Dawn. Here is a picture of my Deeter Douglas that I miss so much!

Sorry, newbie here double post.
Hi, and welcome to the forum. I am so sorry that you have lost Deeter Douglas. There are many of us that ragoll wannabes have brought into the ragdoll world. I'm one of them. Congrats on your new potential kitty!
Thanks for the warm welcome!
Welcome! Deeter was a handsome fella, I'm so sorry to hear he's gone missing. Can't wait to hear more about your new little one when he/she comes along!
Do not give up. Cats constantly explore their territory and he may be near or may come back very close to your home. Leave out things that by scent will tell him he is home, particularly high up so that the scent spreads - dirty laundry, his bedding, a litterbox ... Go out at night and just talk - and listen. Your voice will be recognizable and will carry quite far. Look under nearby bushes, under porches, in outbuildings and in any nesting areas - and keep rechecking. Keep looking. Also, entice neighborhood children who are out and about in the neighborhood to help by watching for him.
Welcome. I'm so sorry to hear that Deeter is missing. Maybe he is just enjoying his outing and will be back. It can't hurt to hope. Obviously I love his looks as you can see from the photo of my big boy. I don't know what I'd do if he got out.
Welcome to the forum! I hope lovely Deeter turns up soonSmile
Thanks for the welcome. We are continuing to look for him, I didn't think about putting something out that smells, I will do that , thanks!
Welcome to the forum it is very exciting waiting for a new kitten. I'm so sorry you have lost Deeter Doug and what a cute name that is! Smile He may show up yet. I had an outside cat that I thought was gone forever (months) she showed up very thin but at least home. She is now strictly indoors. Smile
From one newbie to another - Welcome!!

Sorry to hear about Deeter...I will keep my fingers crossed that he returns to you!
