A while back I posted a thread about my interest in brushing Solo's teeth. I just wanted to announce that I took the plunge and have begun trying it out. At my last vet appt I got him some enzymatic vanilla mint flavored tooth paste and some gauze. The vet and I both agreed a tooth brush may be too much at first and gauze would be a good introduction since I have already been practicing touching his teeth.

So far I have brushed his teeth twice, he doesn't seem to love the tooth paste or the gauze, but hey he doesn't run off when I take my hands off of his face (from holding open his mouth) to refill with more tooth paste! I tell him over and over what a good boy he is so I think he will soon learn to actually like it and look forward to it...at least I hope!
That is great! I need to brush Mocha's.. I think if it resembles anything edible he will go for it! Good job with that, sounds like it is going well :~). He is sooooooo pretty!
Well done! I don't know if Albus would be so co-operative...
That's great to hear that you're having such success!
I guess I should at least start touching Max's teeth Thanks for the good advice.
KewlKat shared a wonderful web site on brushing a cat's teeth on a thread I have on Ragdoll Kitten section
