Well I am pleased to report that Cody has been neutered and microchipped successfully. I expected to collect a very sedate and quiet kitten from the vet today but instead he was meowing his head off in his carrier and wanting to get out. When we finally got home, he bounded out of his carrier as if nothing has happened - I was amazed!
Anyhow I have been given instructions by the vet
(1) to feed him small pieces of fresh chicken as anaesthetic takes up to 48 hours to wear off and giving too much food after this can cause stomach upsets.
(2) to make sure he does not lick his wound constantly as infection could set in.
(3) to keep him inside for 10 days
I must say that I am very relieved all went well and thank you for your support and comments.

I'm so glad that he's doing so well. They do tend to do well when neutered when they are young. HOpe you don't have any problems with him licking his incision, onther than that - he should do quite well!!!

That's great news! Aren't they the toughest little guys?

Great news!! Glad he's up and at 'em, and glad the surgery went well. You definitely made the right choice.
