you ladies are going to have a blast. I wish i lived closer - maybe you can all organise a trip to Australia one year Wink

My husband and I never got a honeymoon, so Australia is where we are headed to for our honeymoon when the kids are a little older (maybe for one of our anniversaries). I have dreamed of swimming in the GBR since the first time I saw it on Nat.Geo when I was a little kid. lol

Oh, and anyone from Australia who wants my grouchy gray squirrel (I named him Bob last year.. he's grumpy but cute and he likes the peanuts I leave for him), you cant have him.. but you can take the annoying red-squirrel who hates me and all things living lol.
i am willing to trade to brown snake for a squirrel???
I would love to see squirrels in my back yard, they are so cute.
We have koalas in our back yard, and I'm fairly sure we have possums too.
We go camping a lot (most people don't believe that as I'm probably the least likely person to actually enjoy it lol) and at one of the places there was a kangaroo with a joey in its pouch, I watched it climb out and back in. Apart from that I have never seen a joey in its mothers pouch. I went to an agricultural school last year and they had a marsupial club there, people would hand in native baby animals they had found without mothers for the students to handrear. Brushtail Possums are the most common, but one time there was a joey handed in and it was just gorgeous and so soft. But mostly, as Danni said, kangaroos are considered pests (but only in the road sense), many people have serious car crashes by hitting a roo. They are huge.

I bet you guys all have a fantastic time when you meet up, its a real pity we all live so far away from each other. Wouldn't it be great if we could ALL meet up!
