Hello everyone,

Well it has been a while since I posted. Last time I was trying to find a home for a stray birman/ ragdoll cat that had adopted us. I am pleased to tell everyone that we found her a home a few days before Christmas with a loving family. Just as well too, the heat has been getting worse in the last few weeks and we couldn't bring her indoors with our kittens; they are forecasting 42 degrees on Sunday.

The latest news is that we are getting a new kitten to join Ava and Felix. He is currently unnamed, but he is a blue bi-colour. We were looking at getting into showing ragdolls and a few local breeders had been looking out for a kitten with good markings and we have finally found one! He is getting desexed this week and will be coming to live with us by the end of the week. Not so thrilled about the timing as Ava and Felix are going in to be desexed on Friday. I feel a bit cruel introducing a new kitten and then taking them off to the vet, or having them recover at home with a bundle of energy. But that was just the way the timing worked. Hopefully it will work out ok.

Does anyone have any tips about introducing a younger kitten to older kittens? Ava and Felix are 6 months old and the new kitten is about 10 or 12 weeks. We are going to keep him in a separate room to begin with until we can be sure they get on, hopefully it wont take long until they are the best fo friends!
Hey Kathryn. Welcome back ! Congratulations on the new editionSmile Recently I aquired an 11 week old kitten. He was to live indoors with my 3 year old Moggie. I kept the Raggie alone for a few nights. During the day I introduced them slowely. Out in the open so my moggie always had some where to go to get away from him lol...which was not hard as he couldn't jump to save himself then lol. Within a week they play, she mostly tolerates him, but she might sometimes actually enjoy playing with him, I see the twinkle in her eyeTongue So I would take things slow, let them all meet briefly, then only let them out together for a few days, if your there to watch, and in no time they should start to blend in perfectly together. I think being 6 months is still very kittenish, they will fold in really well together, in time they will sort out the pecking order and get on great! Just my 2 cents worth, hope it helped, and again welcome back Smile
Congrats on the new kitten. I look forward to pics. All being kittens...they'll probably do very well for introductions.
Someone got a wonderful Christmas present! Congrats on the new kitten!
