I am so sorry to hear from your loss. I know how hard it is to let a cat like Socks go when it's his time. But he had a very special and good life with you, that I can read in your post. And in the end, the best thing you did was to let him go. The greatest gift for Socks you gave him at the end of his life, I am sure.
