Indeed my 12 week old boy has started to officially fetch. Started out with the classic rolled up piece of paper...I say * fetch* followed with *get it*!...and he did that....but never came back...until yesturday. He kept returning to me with this paper....and I would continue to throw and fetch and get it...n so on, you get the picture lol. My girl I lost always did this also, rest in peace my baby....so it enriches my heart, to see just a teeny bit of my past baby in this lil' guy, even though I know they are very different, and that is a good thing, if you know what I mean

Just thought to share with you all, thankyou

How cute, and so sweet that he reminds you of your girl in a small way. I know what you mean about it being a good thing that they are different, your new kitten isn't replacing your girl becasue she still owns a part of your heart, he is just making another part his own.

That's so cool. I've always wanted mine to do that, but they never got the hang of it (I think I got them when they were too old)
That's wonderful. I think that some cats are just hard-wired to play fetch and some just aren't. Mine will run after balls and mouse toys that i throw across the room, but when they reach it they just stop and stare at me and will lose interest if I don't walk across the room to throw it again

Aww congrats! I think it is so cool that many ragdolls will play fetch! I remember when Solo first started doing this also. Makes you proud huh?
They all have there own special qualities, as you said WinstonandOlliesMom, some do and some don't but all are unique

Yeah it does make me proud

My girl was very good at it, she actually used to *toss* her feather wand up at me! so I would throw it

Indeed she will always have a special place in my heart permanently, but there is plenty of room left for my other cats and this lil' critter

Thanks guys
