Okay so we went to the breeders on Monday afternoon, with our mind pretty much set on reserving the lilac mitted boy but while we were looking at all of the available kittens two red/flame bicolour boys caught our eye! One of them had a sore leg and wasn't really running around as much but he was really sweet and the other was adventurous and we loved the look and feel of them both.
So...we are paying the deposit tomorrow and then we will find out which one is available of those two in aprox 10 days (after DNA test results arrive) and that will be Albus' little brother. We have his name already: Fawkes after Albus Dumbeldore's phoenix (we think he's aptly named being Albus' little brother and a red/flame bicolour). We will probably get him in a couple of weeks so pics will be posted then!
It's funny because red/flame was never our style! But they were just great!!

Aw! Sounds wonderful Matthew! When you suggested the name Fawkes, I was thinking how wonderful that would suit a red baby especially and now you have your own special red baby.

They sound like special babies, with their dad being a solid raggie. I have never seen one of them before : )

You're going to love watching his color slowly come in. Ollie's has darkened a lot in the last 3-4 months (he's now almost 17 months old) and the contrast of his orange V and his blue eyes is stunning.
How great!! I think reds are so pretty. Sounds like when you went to the breeders that YOU were picked instead of you picking -- that's the way it should be.
You are sooo lucky, Matthew!! I would love to go to the breeder's home and be "picked" by the Ragdolls too... Hehehe... Sounds like you are all set to get Albus a younger companion to play with... Did you take any pics when you were there? If yes, then let's see some pics..
