Glad Simone is ok. (Gabriel is helping me type this) I have not seen any hairballs yet, but I know that it is coming. The treats that I give the Gs are hairball control treats. Yet, I am sure they will still have a hairball ever now and then.
Whew! good on you Teresa, I would have pulled it out also. My last girl used to get quite a few furballs, specially in summer and spring. She always seemed to *puke* (for want of a better word) them out okay. I brushed her constantly also, but as other ppl have said, they lick themselves alot, and it seems it can not be avoided. Bless her she is lovely, glad all is okay
My guy seems to struggle every now and then like he is trying to cough something up, I assume it is a hairball so I give him the medicine. He has become so crazy about it he goes insane until I give it to him. He also gets brushed at least once or twice a day.
I would have tugged that hairball out too, yikes!
