Hi there everyone,
We have been taking care of this little lady for about 5 or 6 weeks and trying to find her a home. We took her to the vet and she has no micro-chip, has been wormed and treated for fleas, is around 8 years old, and it is highly likely she is sterilised (the vet acn't be sure without surgery). The vet is also unsure as to if she is a ragdoll or a birman. She has blue eyes, fur in between her paws, fluffy tail and tends to go floppy when you hold her.
She is the most affectionate cat I have ever seen and loves to be around people. We have a cat carrier, litter tray and some toys that we would send with her. Basically we just want a good loving home for her and aren't looking for any payment. If you can help please let me know.

Kathryn - I'm glad to see that you are looking to rehome her as I remember her story. I hope you find her a terrific new home. She looks like a lovely girl and would make someone a wonderful companion.
She is so sweet...her chocolate color is very pretty! I wish that you lived closer to me....I would have loved to be able to spoil her.

What a gorgeous girl! Good Luck with finding her a home, I suggest you post at
http://www.cat-world.com.au/forums/index.php , its a very large Australian Cat Forum and you might get some more interest and possibly a home.
As for whether she is a Birman or Ragdoll, if she has the white socks on her back legs and not the boots then she is most likely Birman as she also has the coloured chin. Mitted Ragdolls have the socks on the front legs, boots on the backlegs and a white chin when correctly marked. Either way she is beautiful!!
Lovely girl - and being loving should easily find a home. Hopefully soon.
Neither Birman nor Ragdoll are likely in cats whose backgrounds are unknown. Siamese and Persian are the likely ancestors for points and longhair, respectively, although they may be hundreds of generations back. White is common in moggies as well. It does not take much to aggregate those few genes.
Good news. We have found her a home. She went to her new home last Tuesday but did not get on with the other cat, but has been moved to a close friend of the lady who has already taken her to the vet to make sure she is well. She should settle in well in her new home and we are keeping in touch to make sure that all is well. Bit nerve racking re-homing her with people we do not know directly. The only reassuring thing is that her current home is with the best friend of a registered ragdoll breeder, which gives me some hope that she will be cared for and there will be someone to help settle her in. Many thanks for your kind words and encouragement. After 5 / 6 weeks of her living with us, I thought it time to find her a furever home. Especially with the temperatures due to hit 40 degrees celsius tomorrow and the day after. She really wasn't doing too well in the hot weather and with the aggression she was showing to our kittens through the fly wire we didn't think it wise to let her inside.
That's great!!! And good for you to find her a furever home where she can be loved and cared for. If you get new pics or updates, please let us know too. I'd love to hear about her.
Awwwwww... she is so pretty, lovely collar as well! I love happy endings.
Teresa.. "Furever" too cute.
