We've had Mia for just over a week now. She's about 2.5 months old.

During the last couple of days, I noticed that she has this slight head rocking motion from side to side (neck tilting rather than twisting) occassionaly when she's sitting down. She seemed perfectly alert when she did that, and would stop when I stroked her.

We took her to the vet's for her first vaccine today, and asked about it. But the vet didn't have any clue and just said to keep an eye on it.

Has any one had this experience with their kitten/cat before?? Because I've never seen it in any other cat/kitten we have had/met.
I can't say that I have seen anything like it, except for sometimes when they are sleepy and starting to nod off but still have their head up. If it was a people problem I would say something to do with her ears, maybe an infection. But perhaps it is just a little quirk!
Hmmm, I've never heard of anything like that. I guess all you can do is what the vet said and keep an eye on her.
Check her eyes for motion. Absent that, I also would suspect some ear issue.
I would have the vet take a closer look at her ears. I know Jenny (Armour) who comes on here sometimes has Sonni who suffers from quite a serious head tilt and this was initially caused by an operation that he had on his inner ear. I'm sure if you sent a pm to Jenny she would be happy to pass on her experience.
