Hi I am a new member and hope someone can tell me if this is a problem or not. We were given a male ragdoll because the family had allergies so we know nothing about the breed. We have had him for a year and all the sudden his breath has an odor and I just wondered if it is a symptom of an illness or if it is nothing? I never even remember even thinking about his breath when we got him. Can anyone make any sense of this? thanks Chris
Hello and welcome to the forums...
My first guess would be a dental problem, this very often can cause bad breath. When is the last time you have taken him to the vet for a dental checkup? And do you ever brush your cats teeth or give them treats like greenies to help their teeth out?
I have a DSH cat that we rescued, and she had the worst breath in the world...could smell it when she was under our bed.....we took her to the vet and she had a lot of bad teeth, had to have them pulled...and she is much happier now....
