I love to read..... I need to get back into it. I used to be so bad, the only way I could go to sleep was while reading a book....but it seems that children and my well, life has taken ahold of me. I LOVE the feel of books, and I love walking into our library but it has been quite a while since I have been. :X
Has anyone read "The Memory Keepers Daughter? " very good book, and I also like V.C . Andrews. Is it bad that I hardly pay attention to the authors name?

I just searched it, sounds great. I'm going to get it out. Thanks!

I love this thread !!
There is nothing like a great book to take you to another place
Some of my favourite chick lit authors are:
Susan Elizabeth Phillips - Funny
Susan Donovan
Catherine Anderson - Funny!
Jennifer Cruise
Sophie Kinsella
Linda Francis Lee
Lesley Kelly
Linda Howard
Marian Keyes
Erin Mc Carthy
Sandra Hill
Jennifer Weiner
Julie James
Janet Evanovich
Jenny Cologan
All great authors and light and easy books. I am in my 30's but my Mum is in her 60's and she has enjoyed most of them as well.
I have loved reading everyones posts and have written down many new books and authors - Thanks
I just reread my list ... haha ... I will add another list of all time favourites later ...Lol ... they will be more varied in styles
To be cont ...
PS: I am a HUGE fan of the library .... I do searches on the internet for new books then I place them on hold via the net at my library so I always have a constant stream of books ready.... my kids used to get embarrassed as we borrow so many we need to take bags ...LOL ... but all my kids now borrow at least 4 or 5 books (of their own choosing) at a time. Recently my eldest (10 yrs) has been bitten by the reading bug - I am SO happy .... so I can be thankful that our weekly trips to the library have really paid off - lets just hope my other 2 follow our lead

I am reading some of Debbie Macomber's books right now. I love them and there is no naughtiness to them which if it did I would not read. I am very picky about books. I figure since we do not use bad words here then I do not need to read them and same with actions.
Well thanks for the listings as they help.

You have quite a few authors on that list I love (Evanovich, Howard, Cruise, etc) -- but a few I haven't heard of. I'm going to have to try them out as it seems we like quite a few of the same authors.
Right now I'm reading John Lescroart, Hunt Treasure.....love it!

Both are great reads. I loved them.
