Hello Folks:
This morning my 4 year old Snowflake, jumped up on my bed as she always does in the morning, and peed on my bed while I was still in it? She has never done this before. It mostly got on the comforter, but I did not enjoy having to wash the sheets and comforter @ 7:30 this mornning.......by the way her bladder was full, and it smelled like the canned cat food she had for dinner last night. Right now she locked in her bathroom, and I'll let her out when I get home. Any advice?
This is most often caused by a Urinary Tract Infection and she needs a vet visit and a course of antibiotics (clavamox), even if no other symptoms are found. High loft bedding, particularly comforters and particularly down comforters, can attract this behavior.

Thanks !! I'll make an appt with her vet.....
Be sure to wash your comforter with enzymatic cleaner also, and not just machine wash it. There will still be trace smells on there that you can't detect but your cat can and may mark it again just because it's there.
