We had the final court hearing today and we have been granted a Special Guardianship Order. Leanne decided to agree with our application at the 11th hour after being told by her barrister that there was a high risk of the girls being placed into care if she did not go along with our wishes. So after a very long year of uncertainty we are now Esme and Tianne`s legal guardians and have the majority say in their upbringing. We can now all heave a sigh of relief and enjoy a wonderful Christmas together (although Leanne has decided not to spend Christmas with her girls and is going to Southampton to stay with her boyfriend instead). I guess the new year will bring its trials and tribulations with the imminent arrival of the new baby but for now we are just going to enjoy the moment

That is such good news, Steph, after all you have been through to get to this point. I hope you have a great Christmas and that 2010 is a better year for you all.
What wonderful news Steph, I am so happy for you. You have done an incredible job with the girls and they are obviously in the best place with you. Have a wonderful Christmas, enjoy every second, you deserve it!!

xx
That's is wonderful news Steph, and such a great time of the year to come. You've done such a wonderful job with those girls, and they are so beautiful!!
Thank you for your lovely comments. You have been such good friends to me over the last few years I wanted you to be the first to know the news next to my family

Hi Steph, I don't get to post on here often these days, but just saw your news and had to just say how delighted I am for you and for those precious girls, they are a credit to you and they are so very lucky to have you as their guardian. I am certain with doubt, that one day when they are old enough, they will understand that for themsleves, keep up the good work, however hard it is sometimes, never forget what a fantastic job you are doing xx
Well Done Steph!!
HAppy christmas to you all x x x
Hi Steph, I am thrilled for you and your family.
I know how frightening it is waiting for the decision that
will change a child's life, and the bittersweet victory when you've won.
