I thought I would post my question here.. I found that the pics that I had taken using my handphone (SE W995, 8M pixel cam) didn't turn out to be fantastic... So, I will be searching for a good and economical digital camera.. I am sure most of you have digital cams at home, since I saw soo many beautiful pics of your furbabies here... Hehehe... What digital cam are you using? Hoping to hear some responses... Thks in advance!
Hi Wilson,

I have a little Sony Cybershot 7.2 and I love it. I got it about three years ago and still really like it.

Hi Wilson
Not sure what your looking for but,
this is what I have and I love it.The pictures I posted were taken in low light with no flash.
I do have one or two pictures that look grainy not sure why I may have move when I snapped it.
I'm using a,,, a300 Sony digital
and I'm using Minolta AF50mm lens on it..I can change lens on my camera.
With the new Sony ax you can use Minolta lens.
Sony really is a Minolta.
Nice thing about it is you can buy old Minolta lens on ebay and use them on your Sony.
This saves you lots of money. I only payed 75.00 for this lens had I bought new Sonys lens would have cost close to 400.00
I like to play around with photography so this is a fun toy for me.And I wanted a camera that took nice in door shots as my son is geting married next year and I want nice pictures.
This is not a little pocket camera.
I'm not sure what is a nice pocket one is I have a little cannon pocket but it is older .
This is a great post by the way!!!!!!
I'm sure more will post what they are using.
I know all of us use something different. I have a Kodak 12MP and x12zoom and love it but the drawback is the time delay between photos. Now for Christmas I am getting a D-SLR which is an Olympus and Santa let me have it early and so I have been experiementing with it some between Grbabies and my fur babies. It too will allow you to switch lenses. I got 2 with the camera. Now price wise I am not sure as I got it from QVC as today's special or maybe I should say Santa got it.

I know the blue eyes are hard sometimes to get to remain blue and not demon. I find if I have enough sunlight behind me then they are good now I just have to practice with the different settings on the camera. Practice makes almost perfect.

I guess the best thing to do is research the camera and do as you have asked us what we use.
Thks for the fast responses... Hope to see more responses from other members, so that we can all learn/share about the pros/cons of various digital cams in the market now...
I have been doing abit of research on the digital cams in the past week.. The most popular brands are still Canon and Sony and Nikon.. But, Samsung, Fujifilm and Olympus are also quite popular over here.. One of my fav websites on digital cam review is "dpreview" website and also the cnet website.. I am eyeing on the latest Canon Powershot S90, which is 10MP and have f/2 aperture size (good for taking pics at low light)... The price is on the high side though, around S$750, ie. USD$540.. I am looking for one that is below USD$ 360... LOL.. The digital cam will be my X'mas present I buy for myself.. Smile
Absolutly love my Casio Exilim--the rechargable battery lasts FOREVER, and it is not incredibly expensive (don't know what your price range is--its about 200-300 American Dollars, depending on pixel size and other picture quality specifications) Here's the other thing--I have had mine for FOUR AND A HALF YEARS!! it's amazing for a camera to last that long and still have excellent battery life, and pic quality. If mine is good, I cannot imagine how great the current models are now! I strongly recommend this camera (geeze I sound like a commercial...they should be paying me!)
here is the website: http://exilim.casio.com/
Wilson this is a nice site for reviews and priceing also.

Thanks for the links, Sherae and Linda! Smile
I love Nikons. For my fiance's birthday this year I got him a Nikon D60 and he loves it. Awesome camera, but really expensive. I've always had the Nikon coolpix, which is a much less expensive pocket sized camera. They take great pictures and can take a bit of a beating (I spent my whole deployment in Iraq with it stuffed in a pocket of my camouflage so I could take pictures whenever I wanted).
Wilson- I have used and owned many brands of cameras, but love Canon best. They have a small point and shoot with an excellent zoom for 240 american dollars. Check out their website. Last year I wanted a small camera to fit in my purse, and the sure shot was great. If you want an SLR the canon rebel (or an upgrade) is wonderful, again with a terrific zoom. All canon cameras have easy to use features.
My husband worked for Sony, and has their cameras. Mine are much easier to use with better features(even he will agree). Hope this helps. Judy
