Thks for sharing, Judy and Jenny! I will go read up on your models.. Smile

What about the rest? Anybody else wants to share their digital cams review? Smile
I have a sony cybershot T300. I love it! It has a touch screen and many different fun features.
Wilson, if your looking for a nice pocket camera the s90
is the best on the market right now. Most people like the pocket camera. The s90 has gotten great reviews.
But for me they lack in speed..But hey most people are not speed freaks like me,,,hehehe! There happy with portrait shots.
My boys ride dirt bikes and 4 wheeler and jump them ..so I need fast to catch the shoots and big zoom...lol....
You have alittle boy I noticed,,,,,,,,, Hehehehe,,,,,,,,,,
I also use Sonys, I have a cybershotT50 touch screen and W200 with a viewfinder. I find the W200 better on bright days for outside shots as the 'screen only' type like the T50,can be difficult to see in the sun. I have had other Sonys in the past, I find them reliable and the carl Zies lenses are the best. The more experienced photographers tend to go for SLR rather than compact cameras, but they are a bit more complicated with the various settings and of course they are bigger, but the results are great! See some of Teresa's photos taken while she was over here, she made my garden look fantastic!!
Lindz : Thks for yr recommendations! I have read the review of Sony cybershot T300. A good compact digital cam! The only cons is that the battery life is very short... Is it true?
Mary : Yes, I agree with you that Carl Zeiss is one of the best lens (if not the best) in the market right now... I like Carl Zeiss lens too..
Linda : I was the member of the Photography Club during my uni days (many many years ago.. LOL).. I used to take nice pics using different SLRs (there were no D-SLR at that time) with different lens and different settings. But, it became a very "expensive" hobby (you shld know what I mean, since you are a professional photographer.. Haha.. ).. Right now, I am just a normal hobbyist photographer... Just a compact "point-n-shoot" digital cam is already good enough for me.. Smile My main purpose is to capture all the beautiful moments of my boys, from young till old age... Wink

I will continue to read the reviews of your digital cams, including Canon, Sony, Casio, Kodak, etc, before I make my final decision.. Currently, my top picks are Canon S90 and Cyber-shot DSC-WX1... Stay tuned...

Do let me know if you have any other good recommendations... All replies are deeply appreciated.. Smile
I guess I've never noticed that the battery life was short. I take TONS of pictures, and I charge it about once every week or two. I think it's better battery life than my old Nikon.. Who knows Smile
Ya, I'm a what to ge pro hahaa!
No pro here
I"m just a gadget girl that likes speed with big lens.
I want to it in my chair and zoom.
I have short little legs that don't move as fast as they use to, so I need to compensate some how.heehawsSmile
I also really like Canon cameras. I have owned 3 of the Canon IXUS ones. My first one lasted forever (until my underwater housing leaked when i was scuba diving Sad ) The replacement camera i got didnt seem to last as long and then i got another cheap canon IXUS. It takes some alright photos but the lighting has to be perfect to get good photos of my cats.
My mum also seems to love the canons. She's very into her underwater photography and takes some marvelous photos.
Linda : Everyone has their own hobbies.. So, being a gadget gal is cool... Hope that you will take lots of pics of yr furbabies and family, esp X'mas is just around the corner.. Planning to get any newer gadgets?? Wink
Meg : Thks for your recommendation.. I know that Canon had the best digital cams around in the market... Their latest model is the Canon Ixus 200IS, which boasts a touch-screen display, 12MP, 28mm wide lens and HD movie recording... I am very tempted to get this model.. But I am also aiming at the Casio Exilim EX-H10.. It can take 1000 pics at one go, before the battery goes flat... Will continue with my search for the best digital cam that suits my needs.. Smile
I have a Canon 400D which I love and I have a pocket sized Olympus FE-120. THe only problem with the Olympus is that there's about a 2 second delay between pressing the button and the shutter opening. This is ok when you're out and about taking photos of scenery or people but useless when trying to take photos of a active kittens who can't keep still for 2 seconds unless their asleep!!
