Hiya, I'm Aubrea. I'm new here, obviously, and I joined the site because I'm seriously considering getting a ragdoll and I really just want to learn more about the breed and get the opinions of people that have lived with them...their experiences, good and bad. I'm already in contact with a breeder, and she'll have kittens due in May of this year...but I still haven't definately decided either way if getting a ragdoll is the right decision for me. Obviously I want to do the best for any animal I own...so yeah, lot's of worries, questions, concerns, lol. Anyway...
I know how you feel, I am also on the waiting list for a Kitten due in March....but I have done like you are doing now, all the research possible to see if this is the right breed for me and my family.....There are breeders here, and owners, that can fill you in on everything there is to know about the Ragdolls.....
I can't wait til mine is born, and is ready to go....
Be sure to ask your breeder if the parents have been screened for HCM. It is a fatal genetic heart defect. I love my little ragdoll. He is the most loving and affectionate cat I have ever had. He is just so sweet. Unfortunately, he does have the heart defect.
