Hi All! I have 3 ragdolls, & have been using 3 litter boxes - I read that you should have one per cat. Well, I was low on kitty litter, so I emptied the soiled boxes & had enough litter for only one box. My three have been using it just fine. I scoop every day. Is there any reason I should go back to three boxes? Thanks! And everyone have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
I would say yes....it might be fine for now, but at some point one may want to go when the other is in there and decide to go somewhere else. I'm not up for taking ANY chances. Last thing I want is for one to toilet inappropriately.
Actually, the safest minimum is equal to the number of cats PLUS ONE - in your case four. Many households manage fine with fewer boxes. Not sure I would try just one, but ...
