Has anyone read Noughts and Crosses? I've heard it's really good but the library doesn't have it in at the moment and I'm-a-waiting for them to call me when it comes! By the way I'm on holiday for a fair few months because Uni exams are over! Life is so nice for a student!!
Well you peaked my interest as I always love finding new books/authors -- so I read the synopsis over the book (Wikipedia) and Noughts and Crosses is a little too deep for me. But, since you like YA books (it says Noughts and crosses is) have you read the Percy Jackson and the Olympian series? I love that series! There is a movie coming out from the first book of it next year.
I have read the books and seen the movies (just saw New Moon last night) and I used to be into the whole thing but I'm so over all the obsessive Edward Cullen fans!! I just HATE him (LOL If you asked me this before I saw the new movie last night, I would of said that I'm over the whole lot completely but it refreshed my mind about how much I love Jacob Tongue).

But... I am with Matthew... I much prefer Harry Potter Smile

I read the book before I saw the movie and you can't compare them whatsoever. The book has a much better ending - sadder but it gives you a shock and actually makes the book so much better. It was one of the very few books/movies I have cried in, I didn't even shed a tear for the movie though. Hated it, sorry.
Jacob was an absolute HOTTIE in the movie, I totally agree (though I did feel a bit perverted drooling over a 17 year old!). Before seeing this movie I was pretty much a Team Edward kinda girl, but you just gotta love Jacob's body and personality so much in this movie. I do love the Harry Potter books/movies and can't wait until the last movie (or two so I've heard). I saw My Sister's Keeper and honestly there was not a dry eye in the theater! I haven't read the book, one of the few Jodi Picoult novels I've missed, but I really loved the movie. When we walked out the two guys waiting to clean the theater vowed to never bring their wives/mothers to see it!
I must be out of step here as I haven't read Twilight or Harry Potter! I have read My Sister's Keeper though, along with most of Jodi Picoult's books. I love the book but found it heartbreaking and cried buckets but I haven't seen the film yet.I have however read P.S. I love You and seen the film and found the film soooo disappointing.

No I haven't, I'll have to get them out before the movie comes! My second favourite series is the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon, honestly every person I have advised to read them have fallen head over heels for this series. Smile It's about a lady who accidently travels back in time (200years) into Scotland, it's really great!
Oooh Teresa I looked it up and it looks wonderful! I love ancient Greek Mythology!
i love ps i love u film.
it makes me cry everytime. LOL.
It made me cry too Danni, and I mean bawled! I love Gerard Butler too so that may have had something to do with it! I'm reading the first one of the Outlander series now, it was recommended to me when I finished Charlaine Harris' Sookie Stackhouse novels. I thought it was a bit slow in the middle, I'm about 60% done now and its starting to pick back up.

Anybody else have a Kindle? I got one for my 30th birthday and I just LOVE it. I thought about starting a thread on here on just that, lol.
Bubba's breeder named him Drusus, from Twilight. I never was able to find the vampire Drusus, and didn't keep the name because we didn't like it. His brother is Carlyle and sisters are Bella and Elyse. If Bubba had been Carlyle, I'd have kept it.
KatLeen: this new photo/signature of Bubba looks so much like Albus! The expression on his face!

Lol I went through a mini obsessive stage when my lady friend introduced the Twilight series to me but the movies kind of ruin it. No offence anyone.

Movies can never compare books!
Every girl I know is obsessed over Edward or Jacob!
