He got his head stuck in between the back of a table chair. He freaked out and claws flying, scratched the inside of his ear while getting unstuck (all of this happened in a matter of 5 seconds). I noticed the bleeding right away as he was shaking his head and blood dripped on the carpet, I didn't know where it was coming from right away as he was blinking and shutting his eyes for about 30 seconds after it happened but then I got one of the children to hold him while I examined him.
Quite a few drops of blood for a little cut, I was freaking out for a while there until I wiped it up and examined it properely! Poor baby went to sleep right away after he calmed down, tired out from all of the commotion. He was carefully not lying down on his ear. He is alright now though, he isn't doing anything unusual or rubbing at it. We are going to take him to the vet tommorow just in case but otherwise I'm pretty confident that he's fine.
Just thought I'd let you know

Poor Albus! I'm sure he will be just fine, little kittens really seem to get themselves into trouble huh? Luckily they are also quite resilient it seems. This is a good case of curiosity got the cat

I am sure he isn't going to be sticking his head in the back of that chair again!

Poor boy! Hopefully his ear will look ok by morning and he won't have to go to the vet. I wonder who it was more scary for, you or him...
Poor baby. I bet you were a wreck. Hope he is ok.
Aww, poor Albus! I hope he heals quickly, and then stays away from the chair.

He's fine, just a little scratch, I may have overreacted?? LOL It was much worse for me, I was all over the place telling the kids to leave him alone and not touch his head when he woke up, but he wanted to play and get petted by them. I was definitley more truamatised!!

Thank you, he's perfectly fine. No vet! I just kind of freaked when the blood was dripping from his ear and was smudged on his coat. Seemed alot worse than it really was. It's funny now that he's alright though, wish I could of gotten a photo in that 5 seconds of struggle!
I'm glad Albus is doing better.
