He did go to shows, and did superbly. But he disliked them hugely and it was in his best interest to be just a loving pet. Disappointing sure, but thats all we ever wanted him for in the first place. Showing him was just for fun and it was just luck I suppose that gave us a brilliant show cat as a pet. He has a wonderful temperament except at shows. He will love each and every person that comes into our house, strangers included. But he hates everyone at shows, even gets angry with me. It was so sad to see him get so angry at me and to see him hate it so much so he doesn't go to shows anymore. Some cats just aren't cut out to be show cats I suppose.

Yes, a bit of luck, and also breeders limit the ammount of males they want to go into breeding, therefore alot get sold as pets even if they are close to perfect.
