I just adopted a 10week old blue bicolor named Pandora`, she is just so sweet! The only problem is she pees on my blankets. She is in my daughters bed room, where she blocked off with food/water lots of toys and plenty of company! I have a mastiff who is very sweet herself but wants to play, she is so little i want them to get use to each other and i want Pandora to get a little bit bigger. Her litterbox is where she can see it, she goes in it,but for some reason when she wakes up, i will put her in her litterbox, but she will jump up and pee on the blanket. I put her in the box after she does it, but i get nervous she will do it again. I am taking a pee sample to the doctors today, if it's not a uti i don't know what else i can try? I can't get mad because she is so cute and she is the baby of the family now, i just want her to use her box. Any help would be great!
Welcome to the forum. We'd sure like to see a picture of your lovely Pandora. What a wonderful name for a beautiful girl!
Dr. Elsey's Kitten Attract was irresistable to my kittens. So much so, I had to hide the bag from them. But then as you've mentioned, if it's something medical, you wouldn't want to ignore it.
Good move getting a sample to the vet. It has been said, that even with a sample that doesn't show it, it might be best to treat as if it was one (antibiotics). Be sure that you are cleaning everything that is wet in the least with an enzymatic cleaner which will remove all trace - otherwise the kitten will tend to mark on it again (even if you have washed it, you need to use an enzymatic cleaner to REALLY remove it). It's also been said on the forum that cats will mark where there is puffy (down, or comforter type) bedding. Best to block the kitten access if that is a problem with her and that is what is causing her to pee there. Good luck and keep us informed. Hopefully you'll get a solution. You are SO RIGHT not to punish in any way. that will just add stress and could cause behavioral problems.

Congratulations on your new kitten, would love to see some pics. Welcome to the forum.
Everyone posted good advise here. I just wanted to add that you may want to add another litter box if you only have one. Some cats don't like to use the same box for urinating and a bowel movement. I would definitely keep her out of the room that she is doing this in until you get it straightened out. She will keep going in the same spot if the smell is still there.
