I have had to ban both Gabriel and Gabbie from the bedroom at night. Both are keeping me awake. Gabriel is sucking his paw and wants to lick my face. Gabbie has started wanting to lick my face. I hate it, but I do not know what else to do.
For your own well being, it may be for the best! If they get used to not sleeping with you, it won't be a big deal for them and you'll still get some sleep. I know Marypr keeps Frankie out of her bedroom at night because he keeps her awake. They have each other, and they'll be fine.
I let Solo stay in my room every night on a 3 strikes youre out policy. If he bugged me up to 3 times, I would lock him out.
I love your policy! Ours weren't able to jump on the bed to begin with, so it took a bit of time to be able to lunge and then claw your way up! Now they come to bed with us when we got to bed. Luckily they sleep by our feet, or onthe bedside table! They occassionally wake us up suckling each other. I am told this is fairly normal and common if they were weaned a little early. But with us trying to deter them, it does seem to disturb our sleep. For some reason they always manage to do it about an hour before we need to get up!
I banned them from the bedroom for one night. Last night I forgot to close the door. So, here comes Gabriel and Gabbie. Gabbie jumped on the bed for just a short time to give me a good-night lick on the side of my face. She went from the bed to the cat condo, where she slept during the night. Gabriel crawled up to my pillow, licked the side of my face a couple of times then laid down for the night. Neither of them woke me up in the middle of the night! Just have to see how things go.
Excellent. When we get tired of Sam's antics we put his absolutely most favourite blanket high on the dresser and settle him there for the night. He seems quite happy.
Yeah, and if he messes us around after that he's shut in the office - a long, long way away! LOL

See they are smart and seem to be figuring things out. The night they were locked out they may have realized it happened because of their misbehavior. You will find that as they get older and figure things out you will have to lock them out less frequently. I remember locking Solo out once or twice, sometimes 3 times a week when he was much younger.
Hang in there! Glad to hear you got a good nights' rest

They started misbehaving again. So, I had to lock them out of the bedroom. I had to get up in the middle of the night. Those two little rascals were sitting at the door waiting for it to open. When I opened the door to go to the bathroom both shot into the bedroom like greased lightening. However, they slept the rest of the night in the bedroom without incident.
